Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. – ACTS 2:46-47

Everyone is welcome to visit Springhill. When you’ve decided that you want to make us your home church and serve the Lord alongside the rest of the Springhill family, we invite you to become a member.

Our members are the voting body of the church, which chooses church leadership and approves the church budget.

How to Become a Member

Everyone is welcome to visit Springhill.

When you’ve decided that you want to make us your home church and serve the Lord alongside the rest of the Springhill family, we invite you to become a member.

Becoming a member is a two-step process. You can do them in any order.

  • A person must take our membership class. This class discusses our beliefs, and our ministries, and allows for any questions. During this meeting, you will also get the chance to meet with the deacons and staff of the church.

  • The second step is to make a public profession of your faith and your alignment with our purpose to share and live by the Word of God. To make this commitment public, we ask that you come forward in the church during the altar call at the end of the service.

    • If you are already a believer, this public profession is a simple statement of your desire to become a member of the church and move from your previous church to Springhill.

    • If you were not a believer before making this profession, you are professing Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

    • Baptism is required to become a member. If you were previously baptized in a sister church by full immersion, then you do not need to be baptized again. All other types will need to discuss this with the pastor.
Baptism taking place at SpringhillBaptism

Scripture tells believers to be baptized, just as Jesus, himself, was baptized. This is a public profession of your personal faith in Jesus, and a physical representation of the death of our sinful selves and the rise of our new life in Christ. We encourage all believers who have committed their lives to Christ to be baptized.

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. – Romans 6:4

The Lord’s Supper
Springhill regularly partakes in the Lord’s Supper. The unleavened bread and juice represent Jesus body and blood, which He gave to cover our sins. When we participate in taking the Lord’s Supper, we are remembering His covenant with us, examining our own hearts, and renewing our absolute trust in Jesus. Any believer who has been baptized is welcome to take part.
And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. – Luke 22:19-20
